Atlantic Bridge-backed Secondmind, a leader in data-efficient Engineering AI, has announced a strategic reseller agreement with SC Automotive Engineering Co., Ltd. (SCAE), a Japanese automotive development engineering firm. The partnership marks SCAE's first agreement with a technology company outside Japan. It will see SCAE to offer Secondmind's cloud-native, model-based engineering software to its OEM and Tier 1 automotive customers.

Secondmind's software is built around data-efficient Active Learning, helping engineers reduce reliance on extensive simulation and physical testing. Its Design Space Exploration product can cut simulation volumes by up to 80%, while its Calibration product has helped Mazda Motor Corporation achieve a 59% reduction in engineering hours.

Toshimi Yamanoi, President and CEO of SCAE, said the partnership reflects SCAE's mission to bring transformative global technology to Japan's automotive engineers. Secondmind CEO Gary Brotman said the agreement opens the door to bringing data-efficient Engineering AI to more customers across Japan's automotive industry, helping OEMs and suppliers manage rising engineering complexity and shorten development cycles.
