Equal1 CEO Jason Lynch has been named NovaUCD's 2026 CEO of the Year as part of the NovaUCD Innovation Awards, which celebrates achievements in knowledge transfer, entrepreneurship and innovation culture across University College Dublin's research and start-up communities.

The award recognises Equal1's progress over the past year in advancing scalable quantum computing, including the introduction of a rack-mounted quantum system designed for data centres and the expansion of key industry partnerships. Lynch described the engineering challenge of building quantum computers at scale as among the most demanding in the world today, crediting the recognition to the wider Equal1 team.

Equal1, an Atlantic Bridge portfolio company, is developing quantum computing systems designed to integrate directly alongside classical compute infrastructure.
