Team John Hartnett - Venture Partner
Before this, John was executive vice president of worldwide operations, service, support and eCommerce at Handspring, Inc. In October 2003, Handspring was acquired by Palm, Inc., thereby becoming palmOne, Inc. John was a member of the Palm/Handspring merger leadership team. Before joining Handspring, John was senior vice president of U.S. marketing, support and operations for MetaCreations. There he was responsible for developing the marketing, branding and advertising strategies - including online marketing and website redesign. Prior to MetaCreations, John served as director of international operations at Claris, where he developed and managed the operations business plan and was part of the lead team in the merger of the Applesoft and Claris business. John also spent time at AT&T GIS, Digital Equipment and Wang. John earned a marketing degree through the Marketing Institute of Ireland, a post grad diploma in finance through the ACCA and is also a graduate of the executive management program at Stanford University.

As senior vice president for palmOne, John is responsible for palmOne's Americas sales and customer support for all channels including retail, distribution, carrier, eCommerce and palmOne's retail stores. John is an investor in Atlantic Bridge. He has extensive experience in wireless, PDA and Smartphone technologies both in hardware and software. |
