Press Releases Syniverse To Offer Enhanced MMS Interoperability Services Powered by OpenMIND Networks. Cannes, France, 14 February 2005 Mobile operators throughout the world can interconnect national and international MMS traffic seamlessly through Syniverse’s enhanced MMS interoperability gateway powered by OpenMIND Network’s Message-OS platform. Syniverse Technologies, a leading provider of mission-critical technology services to wireless telecommunications companies worldwide, today announced an agreement with OpenMIND Networks to create an enhanced MMS interoperability gateway service to provide mobile operators with global interoperability. Today, the majority of mobile subscribers can only send photos or video clips from their mobile phone to another subscriber on the same carrier network. Syniverse’s MMS interoperability gateway provides the necessary interoperability to exchange MMS with subscribers on different networks, including performing the complex transcoding required between CDMA and GSM networks. Additionally, as the leading provider of mobile number portability in the United States, Syniverse’s MMS gateway service provides automatic LNP database dips for all messages destined for North America. The Syniverse MMS interoperability gateway service also leverages the global reach of the Syniverse GRX network. GRX is a centralized IP routing network used by GSM operators to transport MMS and other mobile data services. Syniverse is the GRX provider for all major North American GSM operators and also provides GRX services in Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
