Press Releases Nanotech Semiconductor announces new Vice-President appointment Steven Cliffe joins as Vice-President for Sales & Marketing Witley Park, Surrey, England, December 5th 2005 Nanotech Semiconductor Limited ("Nanotech"), a fabless IC company specializing in advanced Analogue & Mixed-Signal ICs for Communications applications, today announced the appointment of Steven Cliffe as Vice-President for Sales & Marketing. Steve has an Honours degree in Electronics from the University of Nottingham, achieved as a 5-year 'sandwich' course with industrial experience at Ferranti Electronics. His first Product Marketing job was with GEC Plessey Semiconductors, where he spent 7 years looking after Data Converter, Consumer and ARM based products. In 1992 Steve joined Dialog Semiconductor where he moved into Sales, and for his last 6 years there was Sales Director, growing sales from $4m to over $200m. The products were primarily mixed signal targeting the Communications, Consumer and Automotive markets. During this time Dialog successfully undertook its Initial Public Offering (IPO). the position of Sales, Marketing and Operations Director. At both Dialog and Global, far-eastern markets were key to success. Gary Steele, CEO, commented: "Steve has exactly the right background for us. Over 20 years in mixed-signal/communications ICs, with long experience in both Marketing and Sales Departments. Then for the last 5 or 6 years he has focused on customers in China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan, the same key markets for Nanotech. Finally, having helped take a company through IPO he is very familiar with a potential future direction for Nanotech". Steve added: "I am very much looking forward to helping Nanotech through its next major stage of growth. The Company already has excellent relations with some important customers, but I am sure there's more we can do on that side: the Asian markets remain relatively untapped".
